The association Asante e.V. - Support for schoolchildren in Tiwi, Kenya - was founded in June 2003 and recognised as a non-profit organisation by the Bayreuth financial authorities.
We arrange school sponsorships for needy children with and without parents in order to give them a chance to work after finishing school.  We also give pupils breakfast and lunch during their holidays. We support grandmothers or relatives of orphans by providing food aid so that the orphans can grow up in their extended families.
We provide educational assistance for pupils at grammar schools and vocational schools up to the level of teacher training for our former school leavers.
We cover the costs of medical care for all students supported by the association and for people in emergency situations.
We create facilities and equipment necessary for the realisation of our goals.
