For more than 25 years, the Munich-based initiative HORIZONT has been supporting children and mothers who suddenly find themselves on the street. With safe living space, security and intensive care.
Hard to imagine in an affluent city like Munich: more than 3,000 children have no home here (source: Munich Social Services Department, November 2022). They and their mothers are almost always traumatized by experiences of violence and have lost all hope and prospects in life. They are usually invisible in our society.
