The donation will be used by the grantee to promote the education of its students at the Hermann Lietz boarding schools.

The Hermann-Lietz Schools aim to awaken and foster a love of learning in their students. The Hermann-Lietz-Schools are caught between tradition and modernity: In this sense, the schools see themselves as "homes of learning" that offer a safe haven, while at the same time encouraging the will to achieve and embracing change. The Hermann Lietz Schools support their students in thinking holistically, acting responsibly and courageously shaping the future. In doing so, education for social commitment and advocacy for the common good are important principles. Teaching, education and community life at Hermann-Lietz-Boarding Schools aim at a tolerant coexistence and are oriented towards a humanistic educational goal on the basis of a liberal democratic order.
