Women's shelters and protection from violence

The Wirth Foundation is actively committed to protecting women and children affected by domestic violence. Violence, whether physical or psychological, has a profound impact on the lives of those affected and requires rapid and effective support. Our foundation therefore supports Women's shelters and projects that support women and their children Refuge, security and the opportunity to make a fresh start.

Women's shelters are not only safe places, but also centers of Support and Accompaniment. In addition to protection from further assaults, they offer the women access to psychological counseling, legal support and help with reintegration into an independent life. The children, who are often also traumatized, receive special care in these facilities in order to process their experiences and start a new path in life.

We support projects that aim to achieve this:

  • Women and children from violence and provide them with safe accommodation.
  • Provide psychological, legal and social support to help those affected find their way into a self-determined life to make this possible.
  • To support traumatized children with special care services.
  • Prevention work to help combat domestic violence in the long term.

The Wirth Foundation sees it as a central task to support women's shelters and at the same time to raise awareness of women's rights at a social level. Domestic violence to strengthen them. Through prevention work and education, we want to help prevent violence from occurring in the first place and help those affected find access to support services earlier.
