Development cooperation and international emergency aid

The Wirth Foundation is involved in the Development cooperation and international emergency aidto support people in crisis areas and disadvantaged regions. Our aim is to improve living conditions and create long-term solutions to social challenges through targeted projects.

In the area of development cooperation, we promote initiatives that enable local people to improve their living conditions through their own efforts. Our focus is on socio-economic development, strengthening education systems and promoting infrastructure projects. By supporting agricultural projects, craft initiatives and small businesses, we create the basis for sustainable development that enables long-term independence and self-determination.

In crisis situations, we provide rapid and unbureaucratic support with our international emergency aid. The aim is to provide immediate assistance to people affected by natural disasters, conflicts or humanitarian crises. Our projects include the provision of food, medical care and accommodation as well as psychosocial support. Post-crisis reconstruction is also a central component of our work.

The focus of our work:

  • Rapid assistance in crisis situations by providing food, medical care and accommodation.
  • Promotion of sustainable projects to strengthen socio-economic development.
  • Support for education systems and infrastructure in disadvantaged regions.
  • Helping people to help themselves and long-term prospects.
  • Reconstruction after crises to stabilize living conditions.
